What kind of plug do they use in Russia?

I am aware of the voltage but have no idea as to what their plugs look like.

European 2-pin plugs (i.e., without "Earth") will work perfectly.

If you're coming from the U.S. and use a voltage converter, it will probably come with a European plug. The problem is with universal devices (like laptops) - they don't need voltage converters, but you will need a simple adapter. You can buy them at any travel store at the airport.

Amazing how many people don't know what they're talking about. It's a two pronged pin type plug...I did use a converter though just to be on the safe side to protect my iPod. You can get a universal one that is good for the different kinds of electrical outlets from Radio Shack, or any travel store.

Many of them have a lot of different plugs for each country. I suggest getting one that is one piece and can be adjusted for most countries. I got the one found at the link below and was able to use it everywhere I went in Russia with no problem.

Ă¢?£China Ă¢?Â¥ DollĂ¢?
I'd assume that they're the same as the ones in the US...outlets are supposed to be universal. It wouldn't make sense to have different outlets in different countries. Appliance makers would go crazy making so many different kinds of plugs.

Miss China Doll, you are soooo wrong...

Miss jasomsaso, you are perfect example of an American who has 0 outlook to the rest of the world.

The plug is different. In fact Russia uses the same plug as the rest of Europe (except for UK and Italy). But this plug is different from U.S., the contacts are round instead of flat. You can buy the adapter at the RadioShack
