When setting up a new business, you don't look for things that people NEED. You look for things that people WANT. For example, nobody needs chocolate, but everybody wants it. |

Apart from Americans (the only thing you have more of than Greece) - Greece has everything she could possible want or need. |

Greece has anything that exists in the western world. And if it doesn't have something very specific, like a cat locator collar, we can buy it over the internet. So don't think that you'll come to the "Indians" and sell them beads and get rich, like your ancestors did when they got to America! If there was an opportunity for easy gain, others would have taken it too! |

A tough one.
You cannot sell to us Greeks what we can already find everywhere (literally everywhere...).
Your target group should be Americans in Greece (about 100 000) that crave Dr. Pepper, pop tarts, Jiff peanut butter and other food items like that).
Trust me on that one... otherwise your project is gonna be a magnificent failure!
PS. Also trust me on this one, a 100 000 people target group is much higher than even many big companies can aim for, even with big fancy high in maintenance cost establishments.
EDIT (For "Min tous kyklous terates") :
We are the Greekz.
Lower your shields and surrender your vessels.
Your culture will adapt to service us.
Retsina... is futile!

Nothing. They basically have everything we have. If it was over 20 some years ago I would say brand name sneakers and Levy jeans, I remember my cousins would go crazy stocking up on that stuff because it was cheaper here. Nowadays whatever you find in the States you can pretty much get over in Greece too. Well now that I think about it my aunts STILL go nuts stocking up on bedsheets and stuff, something about higher the thread counts the better but its cheaper priced in the States then over there. So maybe a store that sells American Dec Bedding, Sheets and Basics at discount prices? |
