What religion is "NO RELIGION"?

There are people call them having / following no religion. What is this concept? Normally people adopt (To my knowledge) the relgion of their parents or to their choice once they grow up to understand things. What is the new race that is growing in the world, that they call them self "NO RELIGION"? Is it a healthy situation? What are the PROs & CORNs of this new development?

When I grew up my father was Methodist & my mother was Mormon...so, I was not really welcomed in either church...so, I had no religion. It wasn't that I didn't believe in God...just didn't know anything about God or religion. There are some people like this...and there are some who just choose not to believe "organized religion"...if you don't believe in God at all, then you are athiest...if you believe in a spiritual creature, but do not have a name or any real answers for it...then you are agnostic. I know what it is like to have "No religion" and what it is like to now have religion...I personally think having religion is better...or atleast something to believe in & go to when you need hope.

When people follow no religion, they are either atheists, they don't believe in anything spiritual at all, or agnostic, they believe in something spiritual, but they don't follow any one religion.

"No religion" doesn't necessarily mean atheist, or even agnostic.

It would depend on how the question is asked. Many people who believe in god but don't follow any organized religion consider themselves to not have any religion.

i was baptised anglican and was educated in a catholic school my husband was baptised presbytarian. I class myself as no religeon and so dose he as even though we were baptised we do not attend church and do not practise ,our childeren are unbaptised as i dont believe you should assume they will want to follow or be a part of a religeon as i believe it is a personal choice they do however attened religeous instructions at school which i see no harm in so i would call my childeren no religeon to. it allows them to be unbiased toward other cultures as there are no set beliefs to which they are forced to adhere and they are free to explore other beliefs and customs and be fascinated by them not appaled.

It probably healthier for everyone, less people would be fighting over their beliefs. Did you know more people have died in the name of "God" than any other reason.
The pros are just that, it leaves nothing to argue about...the cons are that the only people who will argue are the ones who still believe in a mythical being in the sky who will take them away from here and have some devine eternal existence beyond this world when they die because that's what some man in a robe told them while reading from a book that's from a time when people were not very educated or had the good sense to think for themseleves but believed what they were told...so it is what it is...believe what you want to.

Healthy situation? Well most atheists or nontheists or whatever are quite sane, and lead happy lives, if that's what you mean. It's not really new, and people who have religious parents but don't believe in it, usually go to church or whatever (depending on which religion it is of course) but once they grow up just turn to atheisism or nontheism or whatever they want. Religion is a personal thing, and is (or should be) optional.

"No religion" would be just that. So it would not in of itself, be a religion. I myself do not have a religion. I don't label myself as anything. Basically religion helps people understand the three main questions, which are: where did i come from, why am i here, and where am i going?
Why does there have to be pros or cons? You can still be a good person without identifying with a religion. To me it's a non-issue. Obviously not everyone would agree. But that's ok!

athiest, narcasist?
Everyones entiteled to their opinion, but
if you have no beliefs, life after death would
seem so scary.
Just loads upon loads of nothingness. Damn.
