I do hate the Nukes and everybody with any brains does too.
But in the support of international stability I do agree with the supply of Atomics to Iran.
Nearly everybody else around the state of Iran does have them.
How safe would you feel if you are a citizen of Iran?
It's very easy for all the other nations with the Atomics already in armament to put a threatening finger at Iran.
Take the nukes from Pakistan, Israel, India, Kazakhstan and other countries who can possibly misuse them and leave the N-bombs only in the hands of superpowers.
That is my opinion. |

Russia has done more for world peace than any other country on this planet. In the first world war, Russia liberated Europe from imperialistic Napoleon, who enslaved all of Western Europe by the time he attempted to invade Russia. Then Russia fought Faschist Germany and once again helped the world to get rid of lethal regime which advertised genoside, outright ethnic clensing, experiments on children and murders the size of which the world had not seen before.
The problem with US however is more to do with the nature of their wealth and their objectives in the World. US in the 30s was a total dump with great depression, unemployment and chaos. US only got rich during WWII, at the expense of Europe and UK. US put an objective to steal economic power of British Empire and rob Europe while it was fighting Hitler. And this is how out of total dump, US suddenly emerged as a wealthy county. All that Natzi gold was looted by US armies and this is how they got rich so quick.
Naturally, the loot from WWII only lasts so far, so US needs new fresh inflows. They do it by stealing edicated population from other countries, through programmes where they select the best trained professionals. This is done at the expense of other and many European countries. All these professionals go to state schools in Europe and get their eduction paid by the European government.
So in a nutshell, Russia is not trying to prove anything. You just need to understand that Russia is simply inconvenient for countries such as USA where they can pretty much abuse any other country which they like, but not Russia, because it is too big and too powerful. |

Russia have Caucasus, there 60% muslims,Iran in front of it,bad relations-terracts and muslim activity.Russia still talk about Caspian sea borders, because USSR is dead, but sea borders like in SU times,Iran have 40%,Russia 20%.USA support dictators too)I dont like this dirty political games, but no one in USA political olymp or in russian want have peace in the world. To whom then sell weapons? With whom fight for oil and gas? |

Yeah, money is the only reason for this chaos in the world, and power also is the second reason. |

The United States and Russia historically have had differing opinions. We have different priorities and who is to say that giving nuclear weapons to Iran wouldn't promote safety and stability. There are two sides to every story. |

1) No one wants the Iran to have nuclear weapon.
2) It is practically impossible to get the nuclear weapon unnoticed, without field tests etc and with the inspectors that are still working there.
3) Russia supports and will support any necessary inspections.
4) If you're trying to say about Iran's peaceful nuclear program you're probably forgetting the fact that it was USA who started it in 1974 with western support. In 1978 Iran received nuclear reactor for research purposes from USA. Russia does not give research reactors to Iran as USA did. Russia does not give any nuclear research information. Russia only built nuclear power station Germany had started and now USA is trying to say that Iran does not need it.
5) If you're talking about Iran threats you're forgetting the fact Iran was threatened much more times.
6) If you're talking that Iran can attack somebody we are thinking that is much much much more likely that US andor Israel will attack Iran to get its gas and oil.
7) Supplying Iran with anti-aircraft defence will only serve peace, because with good anti-aircraft defence Iran will be unlikely attacked.
Considering all this and from my point of view it is Russia who is serving the world peace and US is just the greedy bloodthirsty country trying to dominate over other sovereign nations and get their resources. |

The shoe? I'd say it speaks volumes that one can throw a shoe at George Bush and still live. Had the shoe gone at then-President Hussein, the "journalist" would have been watching flowers grow from underneath.
Cossack, sadly you bring up an excellent point: If the U-S were to guarantee to send troops in support of (and under the command of) Russian troops should the Muslims in Russia rebel, that would be one thing. But if Russia's aim to to fend off more trouble later by making a deal with the devil now, it should be viewed with at least some sympathy, no matter how odious the deal.
Historically, though, how well does appeasement work? |
