What to wear in athens? |
My husband and I are traveling to Greece this June and have heard mixed reviews on how to dress; casual or dressy. A friend recommended my husband to pack a sports coat for dinner.
Which is it? We are both early 30s. |

It will be warm, and you should be comfortable, as far as a sports coat, unless your going to a very fancy place i think it will be too dressy, just be comfortable, maybe a light jacket for the cool evenings |

In mornings you should wear comfortable clothes and mind the fact that it is going to be a very warm summer!! At nights, here in Greece, we dress up in a better way if we intend to go somewhere nice.Your friend told you about the sports coat because at night there is a slight wind and it may not be that warm.Mostly get comfortable clothes and casual! |

it depends upon where you'll be going. It's always best for a man to have a sports jacket and a woman to have a dress at hand for that unplanned occasion.
Greece is wonderful! Opa!!! |

As you will discover anything goes. Greeks have no specific dress code. Casual is best. Even in fancy restaurants and nightclubs. Depends on how you feel. If you are going to the islands even more so. Some islands like Mykonos have a no dress, and on most beaches nudity is the norm. But just in case you feel like it especially the lady take something fancy with you. |

depends on wha are your plans.bear in mind that in June in mid-day a typical temperature is 30C.so i dont think a sports coat would do.so try and pick clothes that make you feel confortable. |

I would agree with another question answerer. you should wear casual clothing. a sports coat or nicer dress only if you plan on going to a nice restaurant. |
