Great question as usual, Pinky!
Only one of these sounds challenging to me, which may seem like I'm bragging. You just hit on a few of my experiences and things I've actually done.

From easiest to hardest, for me :)
1. (2) making friends with a reserved stranger - I have been that reserved stranger so many times, I just remember how it felt to sit there watching. I use that as a starting point and I haven't failed yet.
2. (1) writing a poem or short story - I write two or three poems a week, and an occasional short story, just because I have the thoughts and feelings in my mind and they want to come out!
3. (4) painting a realistic portrait - I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, so I've done this on several occasions.
4. (7) hiking through an unknown forest - As a US Army officer (El Tee = LT in case you didn't know) I have done this on multiple occasions as well.
5. (3) singing a song you love unaccompanied - Never done it unaccompanied, but I've done a few church solos, and I love karaoke, so I think I could manage. I was singing out loud on my way to work tonight!
6. (6) solving a logic puzzle - I've been doing puzzles like that for almost 30 years (eek, my age is showing!) so unless it's superhard, I'll at least be able to give it a good start.
7. (5) figuring out my true motivation - This is the only one that seems really hard to me. I follow my heart and intuition so much that I often can not break down the reasons for why I did something. I don't even know why I'm here telling you my life story on this question, but I am! :)

Edit: Joannah, if you weren't married, and I weren't madly in love with someone else already, I'd ask for your phone number. We seem to have a lot in common. ;)

Everything is easier for me except number 6. I don't think I have the patience for that anymore. After encountering the normal troubles of marriage, family, work and life in general. I'd rather sleep it off than think about solving some challenging puzzle.

Edit: For the one who gave me the thumbs-down, Since you want the nitty-gritty as to why everything is easier in no order I will tell you guys why:

1. Writing - I have been writing since I was twelve. Romance novels. Have worked for a newspaper in my college days and presently translate and edit documents for an international org.

2. Making friends - Charismatic personality and I can talk to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. I even made a straight-laced Saudi immigration officer smile.

3. Singing a song A capella - Glee club/ choir- high school until college. Taught music to lower batches as well as kids. Am a Soprano II.

4. Painting - Inherent artist, I can draw with both my left and right hand. I was supposed to enter into the world of advertising then mom said there wasn't money in it, so I took Interior Design.

5. Figuring - Psych studies in my MA in Early Childhood Education as well as Conflict resolution studies.

7. Hiking - It's an opportunity to be by myself which I sometimes need. If I encounter danger and can't talk my way out of it, I have a gun. It's legal in the Philippines. Yup, former member of my University shooting club.

Well, 1 - 2 - 3 !

i'm really good at writing stories.i'm a creative person so it's not a big deal for me to write a story.

As a person who used to be a real shy in the past,i know how to be friends with shy people.i know their life style and i can get on well with them.

And finally singing a song :-) you may think that i'm naughty and vainty but i can sing very well too :-) i've singed in so many chorus in my childhood.i could be a singer if i wanted :P
that was a joke...
