What would you do? |
My girlfriend and I have been planning two weeks backpacking around eastern europe for ages! We were really looking forward to it and were getting excited as the day of departure was coming up (this Saturday). Unfortunatly we uderestimated my stupidity. I have lost my passport! I only started to look for it last weekend, thinking that it was in the place where I allways put it. It wasn't so since then and now I have been tearing the entire flat appart looing for it. I didn't think it was too much of a problem though as I had planned on going to the Passport office today and getting a same day replacement (today is the first day I have been able to get off work). Unfortunatly the Passport office won't issue same day replacements for lost or stolen passports any more (found this out this morning as I was making an apponment). This means that I obviously won't be able to make the flight on saturday.

Also, I was supposed to pick up my G/F's passport from the Iish Embassy, but I can't do that without avalid passport of my own. So, basicly neither of us can go on our holiday! What should we do for the next two weeks! |

I wouldn't give up on finding your own passport. Sometimes you look for things, panic and can't find them. When looking for something i lost ... I give myself a little break, cup of coffee, relax then find it easier to think! So maybe try that.
Now supposing you don't find it then maybe still go backpacking only in Britain or Ireland! Try somewhere where you've never been and you never know! You might actually like it. OK won't be the rest of Europe but better than staying home.
I hope you can find it though!

Sort your house out , that way you'll have no reoccurances of this disaster ....
and you can back pack around th ebritish coast ...the coast to coast walk for example |

sorry but i dont think there is anything u can do about this. get a new one ordered n sell ur valid tickets and but new ones for a later date n go when u have everything xx

keep on looking re-look in places ,you never know it just may turn up,and next time make sure well in advance that you have the essentials first,good hunting... |

have a look in old suit cases thats where mine was, or look through old documents you av kept and put away, time is running out, when did you last travel, what cases or bags did you use etc, good luck. |
