I said from day 1 there was something fishy about the parents and noone believed me. Still, innocent till proven guilty, I stand by that. All we can do is trust the CSI.

I think her parents are responsible. Not in the sense that they did it (since there isn't enough evidence, and one is presumed innocent until proven guilty), but their actions led to the disappearance of their daughter. I don't care how family friendly a place is. You don't leave a 4 year old and two 2 year olds ALONE, for any period of time. They claim to have checked on them every half hour. A LOT can happen in 30 minutes. I was very mischievious when I was younger, my niece is turning out to be the same way. Had this happened in the US, the parents would have been arrested for some sort of child abuse/ neglect. And, if it was such a "family friendly" resort, wny not see if they provide babysitters so that you can enjoy yourselves. I've been to plenty of resorts that provide staff (for a charge of course) to babysit children for short periods of time.

Why would they kill a child when they have been trying to get pregnant so badly for the past 2 years before her brith. I think she was kidnaped by phedo's and murdered.

Anyway, I haven't followed the subject much, but I agree that the children shouldn't be left alone. I also am quite positive that the parents didn't kill her or harm her in any way, but if something happened while she was alone, like an accident, they may have buried her somewhere and said she disappeared to avoid being held responsible for neglect. However, this is all speculation.

I really don't care, the whole thing has been taken over by the tabloids and is fastly becoming peoples favourite gossip. Yeah its sad that a girl of her age has been abducted/murdered but for gods sake there is a war going on in so many parts of the world where far far worse is happening each day but no one is as interested.

Has anyone seen the missing children's lists in the UK alone? Hundreds of kids, of all races - but where's the interest in them? Its clearly much worse when a middle class white child goes missing... national uproar!

I'm absolutely sick of it all. Stop the freak show and give us some real news.

It sounds like a case out of C.S.I . We all watch to much television,and we all like a good thriller.
But all said ,I think the Mcanns are being made scape goats just to take the heat off the Portuguese police, who have been incompetent.

It's very sad. I'm still trying to figure out why would they leave her alone with her 2 young sibling's, she was to young to be left alone. hope they find out what happened to her.

I think that she's still out there somewhere. The Portugese know they made a complete cock up of it all from the start, and now they are desperate for closure.....this is an easy way out of it!! Lets face it, in a country with such a low crime rate, this is probably the hardest they have had to work in years! I know that the McCanns have seemed surprisingly emotionless.....but I really don't think they would have had the time or the opportunity to dispose of a body while spending so much time with family and friends.....it doesn't make sense. I hope people continue to support them, and continue to search for Maddie!

I feel they accidentally over dosed their child and tried to cover it up and that too got out of hand.
