Whats the best holiday place in greece anyone has had?

It depends on what you're looking for during your vacation - Greece has something for everyone. If you want to party you should try the islands of Myconos, Paros or Rhodes. If you want to just lie on the beach go to Milos island, Elafonissos, Amorgos etc. If you want to go sightseeing, try Athens, Crete or Peloponisos perfecture. If you want romance try Santorini island and so on... And these are some proposals for the summertime alone.

I spent New Year in Athens last year and had a brilliant time. It was 18 degrees, eating out isn't too expensive, people were very friendly. I do regular city breaks and I would put Athens in the top three for sure. There are a few airlines that fly there, Olympic, BA and Easyjet go there directly.

Roda, it was gorgeous. Very clean, quiet family place though so dont go if your wanting a wild time!! Kos is good and a bit more lively.

That's a tough one--I've never had a bad holiday in Greece. I guess Athens will always be my favorite, even though most people love the country for the islands. If I had to choose an island, it would be Rhodes. I also loved the time I spent Easter in the Peloponnese with my best friend's family--that was an amazing experience.

Paros, was quite nice vacation, i had go in easter season, and it was great, a holly atmosphere, a great place to swim, pittoresque vilage to visit, friendly people, and not to expensive. Yes i suggest Paros and all Cycladic islands.

I like Skiathos island in Sporades near Volos for some mysterious reason...

A simple apartment in Kassiopi, Corfu - lovely views of the sea. Was a wonderful first holiday with wife to be.

Nafplion has a delightful dated charm about it with plenty of resorts close by but Polichrono in Halkidiki just beats it..i love the tranquility of the place...it does get busy at weekends though

Naxos,Paros,Santorini (Kyclades)
That was my first and most impressive holiday in greece.
But i enjoyed every location i have visited.

Crete, the mainland, Kos (not sooooo much), ...

Forget Greece. Turkey is the best :)
