And I have a very special way of eating it, and that is even more succulent : I take a green salad leave, in which I put a little bit super hot chili sauce ( Harissa sauce is the best), and I wrap up the çig köfte with this salad leave. I usually eat 30-40 çig köfte, with some bread, and of course light cola !

Çiğ köfte, I guess. I don't know if you can see the Turkish letters, so I repeat: cig kofte.
It is prepared with raw meat (the name means raw meat ball), bulgur, onions and lots and lots of spices. The original is hot, but in big cities people make a less hot version, too.
The spices and the kneading process cook the meat, so you don't taste raw meat when you eat çiğ köfte. Still, I wouldn't recommend it to Westerners with tender stomachs. Non-vegetarian Indians won't have trouble tasting it, though.
If you are a vegetarian, you may try bulgur kofte, lentil kofte, potato kofte, too. These are vegetarian koftes. |

I can never eat something hot.Once by mistake, my father bought me hot lahmacun..When I ate it, my eyes were full of tears :D |

Real Adana kebap isn't too hot. But I don't know why it has such a reputation. It's hot but not crazy. You should try eating Adana kebap in Adana and you'll see what I mean. I think some kebap ustas (outside Adana of course) think they make Adana kebap when they put too much spice in it.
The spiciest turkish food I had was the kisir my friend made last year. She dropped the red pepper bottle in it. |
