Oh, I just had a nice dinner at a beautiful Turkish restaurant this evening but it's never like those served in Turkey.

I like imam bayıldı, sigara börek, adana kebap, köfte ızgara, baklava drippıng with honey and topped with ground antep pistachios, tulumba ... *salivating* .. and to seal a meal with Turkish coffee and cup reading by my psychic Turkish friend.

I also miss turkish breakfast and those midye tava and simit sold on the street.

- Adana kebab
- Çiğ köfte
- Lahmacun
- Mercimek köftesi
- Dolma
- Pilav (pirinç) with kuru fasulye.
- All kind of "börek"
- And of course the köfte of my hometown.

Desserts;
- Sütlaç
- Helva
- Aşure
- Baklava

Add : "Simit", "beyaz peynir" and "çay" are not dishes, but they are "must" of Turkish Cuisine.

My fav. food is the Turkish pizza ("pied") or the aubergine stews.

My fav. dessert I don't know the name of- apparently it's called chicken breast for the colour- it's like a white, sweet, custardy paste or cream it's absolutely yummy, even if slightly sickly. Never eat more than one small bowl
But then again, I LOVE TURKISH TEA AND SPINACH PIES AND PASTRIES!!YUM!!!!
