Yes, the spirit of what's left of Count Dracula's original castle would be invigorating. It's located about 120 miles northwest of Bucharest. I hear the belief in vampirism is a modern day fear in many Romanian villages. I heard a story about a local plunging a wooden stake through the heart of an 18-year-old girl who had committed suicide. Other village practices are to keep the dead supine include putting coins on the corpse's eyelids, nailing heads to coffins, slitting the feet to prevent walking, and tying the hands to the feet. Bears and wolves commonly enter the fortress at night too. I hear tell some say that Transylvania sits on one of earth's strongest magnetic fields and its people have extra-sensory perceptions. Vampires are still believed to hang around the crossroads on St. George's Day, April 23rd. My friend says the people are friendly and civilized, with fascinating stories to tell. When I do go for a visit I know I'm bringing garlic and my crucifix. |

Definitely. I enjoy Saberhagen's version of Vlad much more than Van Helsing's. I have heard that he is actually a local hero and would like to verify some of his actions. His leadership techniques are worthy of study, just like Machiavelli's and Gandi's. |

I don't know, I am older now so I don't think I'll be entertained by this. If you even knock on the door, you will probably laugh out loud because it's just from SESAME STREET Dracula!!!
HA! HA! HA! |

Yeah that would be pretty cool, exept "count Dracula" didn't exist, he was called Vlad the impaler. He was a ruthless killer of his ememys by impaling them on a wooden pole. :) |
