There is no bad time. If you like to ski they have some wonderful skiing. You can see the tulips in Holland in the Spring. Summer is great--long days. Fall is beautiful in Germany (and elsewhere). |

September when it is still warm but the students have stopped travelling.
Aug is the worst! Too hot, too many back packers. |

well, I grew up there. June is the best time. Great weather everywhere and it stays light out till about 9 pm. July and Aug. gets a little humid and real hot if you're in south of france, spain or italy. May's also good but not as warm as june. The winter is drab. It stays dark till about 9AM and it rains a lot. |

spring is a amazing...summer is great too if you do not mind the heat! |

May is good. Not too many tourists around. Not too cold, not too hot. |

It may depend on where you are going, but in Western Europe, do not go in Aug. the whole continent is also on vacation. I think May or September would be perfect times. School is still in session so many people are not able to go at that time so the crowds are less and the prices are lower. Have fun. |

For most people the biggest problem when traveling to Europe are the crowds in almost every major or even minor interest points, so I´d say there are 2 periods in the year when you can avoid his problem. One is from the 2 last weeks of April to the first week of June; the other is from September to October. The con of the first period is that it can get really hot in some parts, and for the later period is that you can have some rainy days. But in both of them you can benefit from extended daylight due to the summer time, lower tariffs and, most important of all, avoiding the big crowds. Both are out of the usual vacation periods and the nasty European winter.
Note: For this particular year forget about June, everything is going to be crowded because of the world cup in Germany. |

In order to answer this question accurately it would be good to know where in Europe and why you are going.
The best time of year, in my opinion, is either May or September. Weather is good and not a lot of crowds. If you want good prices, then November is the best time to travel and if you don't mind a little rain - there are less crowds during this time and accommodations tend to be a bit cheaper. |

It depends on what you're going there for. My favorite time is in late spring early summer 'cause the weather's warm, there aren't that many crowds, and it's just before tourist season so the costs are reasonable. |

Depends on what you want to do. Spring for walking / sightseeing. Winter for skiing, but be ready for a lot of cold! Avoid the summer since it is too busy with too many tourists...and some hotels don't have air conditioner if you are the picky type. |
