1-)Camera
2-)an extra suitcase
3-)mobile phone
First of all,Turkey is a wonderful country where is full of history and wonderful landscape so you will be impressed when you come here and you will take tons of pictures.
you will love Turkey cuz cost of living is cheap and you will buy lots of souvenirs with you i'm sure of that.So i bet you will need an extra suitcase to carry the things you buy in Turkey.
And finally you need a cell phone cuz Turkey, especially istanbul is very crowded so you can easily get lost so i recommend you to carry a cell phone to contact your partner.
DON'T LISTEN TO THE USERS ABOVE THERE IS NO SAFETY PROBLEMS HERE,NONE OF THEM ARE TURKISH! BUT ME! |

definitely a camera(take lots of pictures for me too:) )
a map
dictionary(just in case)
Turkey's most places are safe like tourist areas. But you can think of Istanbul like New York, it's dangerous because there are too many people. Just be a little more careful if you go to Istanbul( it's like a difference between Iowa and new york) but at other places you don't have to be so scared. Have fun!! |

A camera to capture the most amazing scenery you will find!
Comfy shoes - esp if you're visiting Cappadoccia - you can do a lot of walking.
A guide book like "The Lonely Planet Guide to Turkey" it has a lot of tips for you.
I'm an Aussie, and I've visited Turkey three times - on all occasions I've found nothing but absolutely amazing friendliness and hospitality from the Turkish people, they are so kind and smiling! I have no doubt that anyone who gave one of the above negative responses has never had the privelige of travelling to this beautiful country.
I would recommend a visit to the unmissable Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, as well as the Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque....Istanbul is one of my favourites for it's just amazing! Cappadiccia, Antalya, Fetiye, Gelibulu, ......aaarh just go everywhere. And eat lots of gozleme. |
