Prague really good for site seeing but i didnt like some of the cement block feel it gives out but yeah very cheap. Amsterdam would be a good option or even Berlin depending on what your looking for Any where is gonna be cheaper than the UK though.

I went to Scotland a few years ago and stayed in some lovely bed and breakfasts that were inexpensive and had amazing meals. All the owners were extremely friendly and helpful in giving us suggestions for places to visit, directions, etc.
Have fun wherever you decide to go!

Lisbon.
Reasonable cheap flights, very cheap hotels, restaurants and generally food and drink are very very well served and yummy (not really suitable for veggies).
Also easy to get around, good and cheap transport links.
Lots to do, watch, concerts, shopping, clubs...
Best of it all, incredibly beautiful and romantic - you'll have to spend a day in Sintra and its palace.
