Together with the cost of the flights to and from the 'cheapest place', I would have thought it'd be cheaper just to buy your cigarettes from your local newsagent's! |

I don't think Andorra is part of the EU but ciggies there are about 60p a packet and it's easy to get to from France. The French customs will be checking how many you have when you go back. And they're just the usual international brands. |

I know it's not part of the Eu, but Morocco is cheap for ciggies. marlboro lights are about 70p a pack and lesser known brands such as L and M are around 40p a pack.
However you can also get cheap ciggies from Poland. Was there last year and was buying L and M for 57p a pack and this was with the 21% VAT on them!!
Oh yeah don't smoke it'll kill you eventually, but then so will everything else in life, so you may as well be happy until it happens. |

The most cost effective way to buy cigarettes is NOT AT ALL.
don't smoke, and enjoy life to the full. Be healthy, and live long enough to enjoy your G/children when they turn up, and avoid all those nasty diseases that tend to end your life before you are ready.
Please think about it, for your family's sake if not for yours! |

Hi Andrew
I live in the Canaries and the prices range from 6euro for Spanish brands to around 15 euro for English Brands such as Benson and Hedges. At the moment the Euro is doing good against the pound so roughly 200 Benson would work out about £10 Some charter flights are doing offers if you buy 400 for £20.
However remember the customs say you are only allowed 200 per person from the Canaries even though it is in the EU.
There are some cheap flights from the UK at the moment check the tour operators web sites. Good Luck |

the cheapest place to buy ciggs is in Portugal.U buy ciggs for 2€. But at the Azores ils. its even cheaper. as we have our own factories, we sell ciggs for 1,65€ ,1,80, and cheapest for 1,20€
You dont buy here international brand marks (only at the mainland Portugal), so any brand u buy is from the island. Including the Marlboro, is made here with authorization. |

Greece is cheapest i have seen for uk brands, 200 l+b work out at about £18.
Latvia is suposed to be the cheapest in europe but I am unsure what brands they sell. |

Without going to Turkey and the likes where most of the cigs are fakes the best bet is still Spain where 200 JP BLACK are 23 euro. |
