I am Greek, so I've gone almost everywhere! I would propose to you to go in Mani, at South Peloponnese! There are a lot of beautiful villages with great-clean beaches of all tastes! There is a small resort called Kardamili! The scenery there leaves you speechless!

I would suggest POROS. It is only 1 hour from Piraeus and has everything you have described and more. It is not a well known destination which makes it all the more charming. Gorgeous at that time of the year too. The season is fully open but not overcrowded.

May/June is a good time to go to Greece. I sail the area every year but there are so many wonderful places (over 3000 islands) it is impossible to suggest any as the "best". Another place you may consider besides the islands, in Chalkidiki in the northern part of Greece, close to Thessaloniki.

Kefalos in Kos is great at that time of year.
Its a very laid back place with nice bars and tavernas.
