Mallorca
Hundreds of thousands of tourists enjoy a Mallorca holiday every year, most of them cramming onto the 340 miles (550 km) of coastline which encircles this Mediterranean island during high season. Mallorca caters well for this flood of fun-seekers, bristling with dozens of all-inclusive holiday resorts which rate among the most popular in Europe, likemore Magalluf, Alcudia, Sa Coma and Palma Nova
puerto pollensa is found in the northern part of the island surrounded by lovely green mountains. the resort itself has an abundance of restaurants to suit all tastes and many shops to peruse. Why not take a leisurely walk along the 'pine walk' which begins from the small marina along the shore's egde and watch the sand artists creating their sculptures. The sand is golden and the sea tempting, however it can be quite choppy for youngsters. |

Trips already taken:
• Australia in Dec-Jan to visit family.
• San Francisco (for work)
• Oxford over Easter.
Trips coming up:
• Miami next week (work conference so not quite a holiday).
• Trans-Mongolian Railway in September (Russia - Mongolia - China),
• Japan if I have enough holidays.
I'm hoping to squeeze in a few short breaks to Europe and around England.
Recommended places:
• New York
• Uluru and Top-End of Australia. Went to Uluru as part of my trip and it is truly amazing.
• Belgium. This country is really under-rated! Great food, Great Beer and very picturesque (Try Brugge or Antwerp) |

I am going to Normandy on a school trip and hopefully somewhere with my family - cyprus or canada.
If you are interested in Mallorca it is a great place to go as i went last year. Port D'Alcudia is great but if you are looking for somewhere peaceful stay in the older part near the harbour or if you are more touristy then try the main part as there are some great restaurants including Tivoli Terrace and Yummy Yummy's. Also, there are great day trips you can go on at reasonable prices by the No Frills Excursions service. I recommend the trip to Inca market and if you want some fun then try the waterpark in Palma. |

Well, as its my 50th birthday this year, my lovely husband is taking me to Borneo for a very special holiday. I live in Cyprus, which is almost like being on holiday all year round, so its always a real treat to go somewhere different. |

I'm so glad you asked because I'd shout it from the rooftops if there was no risk of being arrested :)
I'm off to Istanbul for 5 days and to a beautiful beach resort in Turkey for the remaining 5 days (rated top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by Forbes!!!). I;m going with 3 friends in late July and cannot begin to tell you how excited I am. I foam at the mouth when I think of it hehe |

I've just got back from Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. It was my second time there and it was nice but I don't think I'll go back. Venice is my favourite place to go to xxx |

Going to Vasto in Italy this summer to stay with some friends on the beach in their appartment. I might go to Tunis to visit a friend and sit on the beach for a while too. We'll see how much time I can take though.
Italy is great, used to live there, been there for lots of visits. I suggest avoiding the famously touristy places unless you really don't like being away from those kinds of things. The authenticity is a bit sacrificed for quantity when you get too many tourists in Italy. Thats not necessarily the case everywhere, but in Italy it seems to apply more than in other places I've visited. I think its because Italy is a place where things normally take time and planning, and that goes against the idea of mass tourism and maximizing profits.
Cheers. |
