Moscow, St. Petersburg are the best cities in Russia, I found. Kaliningrad was beautiful, as well, but a lot of crime, drugs and prostitution - it's also close to Poland, and in between the Baltic states, so easier to get to from Europe. I would also suggest Yekaterinburg and Novgorod - both in the Eastern parts of Russia, but not TOO far from Europe itself. Lots of fun places to go particularly in Yekaterinburg.
If you're there, I would suggest Ukraine, as well - particularly Kiev and Odessa, both thriving and Odessa is right on the Black Sea and where many Eastern Europeans vacation. |
