Where and how is your dream house you are planning to live when you are old and have grandkids?

Additional Details
Selena,

We have some in common with Mustafa. Mediterrenean is running through my veins too. My dream house will be on the Aegean coast or Sicily. Depends on if i'll have the courage to leave my country. Will have a very big garden with flowers and olive trees.Should be very close to water, since i'll be old and cannot walk that much in those hot weathers.

I don't think I will live that long.. but if I do, I would like to live in a small house by the sea. A nice garden with lots of plants, threes and flowers .I love gardening and since I'm sure that I will have dogs all my life , the garden is a must.

That would be enough for me..

I am already getting old (57) and I am still dreaming about that dream house. Actually I have two dreams:
One would be a big, twin house with a common kitchen and living room. Our daughter (when she gets married) will live with us. I would love to have them at my table on special days, a big family all together. There would be a small garden with some flowers and herbs.
My second dream is to have a nice village house in a wine producing (Italian perhaps) town/village. I want to walk every morning to the village square/coffee shop. Chat with local people, listen to local music, drink a glass of red wine. There should be vinyards below the village and olive groves above. So the place should be on mountain slopes. I am dreaming of a place like Santa Vittoria in Anthony Queen's movie 'The Secret of Santa Vittoria'.
The Mediterranean blood in me tells me that this is what I should have.

I do not think to wait to be older for this dream!!! I m 32 and my wife is 30, we are planning to move to Marmaris NOW.

I have to complete some jobs in Ankara which will last approx.6 months. I want to join 2008 in Marmaris.

Best wishes...

Totally Blunt
Somewhere near enough to help around with the grandchildren and far enough to not bother the kids. You see, I believe in the usefulness of grandparents, it lengthens your life, gives you a reason for living.

Other than that, I am living just like a granny... at home, with my pets, making my own daily schedule. Only, I have a job, too. That's the way I want to go when my time comes.

Now , i'm living in my dream house..my cats , my flowers , my books ,and my own hours ..All these are enough for me.

Selena
My dreamhouse would be in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. It is famous for having one of the longest surfable waves in the world. I would like to wake up every day, watching this wave. Then, of course, I would spend the rest of the day surfing it!
(Hey! We had awesome waves here this weekend and I am so tired now....) Hope u had a great weekend too!!!
P.S. Don't forget to tell us where your dreamhouse would be!!

Yeah, Sicily is really cool, especially Taormina and Milazzo and the best would be (it is a secret, so don't tell anyone, on the Aeolian island of Salina, a small village called Pollara in the middle of caper plantations)! I grew up in Spain by the way!

I have only 2 requirements

1. anywhere on a beach where you can hear the waves gently crashing as you go to sleep every night

2. there must be nice cafes in walking distance to spend lots of time meeting with friends and drinking tea with friends and family.

Qu'est ce que tu pense?
I don't know where, but I would like a house that's fairly big, with bookcases, grandchildren coming to visit me, a big and cozy fireplace, maybe a pool outback or the sea, and I want huge comfy sofas with a big TV, so that I can watch movies whenever I'm bored. :-)
