South west Wales. The Gower Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Miles of clean golden sands, beautiful scenery.

Well buster domino you cant spell either it's Bamburgh not Bambugh, but he is right it has beautiful scenery as has almost every beach along the North-East coast of England (however the weather isn't particularly conducive to sunbathing usually, it is at the minute though.

There are many nice beaches around the Mediterranean coast in southern Europe but they are packed out with Germans reserving their sundebds by going out in the early hours of the morning to put towels out.

To the person who has answered below me, Algeria is in North Africa not Europe so you clearly don't live ther or i'm sure you would know that.

And also french is the main language in France and Algeria i believe as Algeria was once a French colony.

Those on the very far north west coast of Scotland, almost white sand and pure crystal clear turquoise water and remote - FANTASTIC.

Ios in the Greek Cyclades Islands where there is no airport, just ferry, so lovely unspoiled island. Having said that, any of the Cyclades islands are a good choice, with the beautiful golden sand and turquoise Aegean sea. Have a wonderful time if you go.

Saunton Sands, near Barnstaple in Devon. If you've seen the Robbie Williams video for Angels, you know what I mean! Perfect, sandy and stretches for miles!

In the west of Ireland. Plenty of sand ,plenty of surf, plenty of hospitality and plenty of rain.Not too much sun and maybe that's not such a bad thing.

oh yeah saunton sands in north devon was there other day, absolutely phenomenal beach, massive and hardly busy good surf too.

Spain Benidorm,they keep winning one of the cleanest beaches the sands were brought in from the Sahara,Tunisia is gorgeous too lovely sea,you just run in,and its nice and warm.

Best beaches are Mediterranean due good temperature, weather, food, landscape, water collor and what you feels when you are there; My best calls goes to Croatia, Greece, South Italy and few in Spain.
I'll not put Cot'Azur - France neither NE France since they are bautiful but not offer too many possibilities.

Greece: Kos, Korfu
Italy: Eolidas (Sicily), Calabria Region and Sardegna
France: Corse
Spain; Marbella, Ibiza, Balleares

I would also bet in Malta, Macedon, Cyprus (Europe?) and Turkye.

There are some lovely beaches in southern France, particularly the Calanques region west of Marseilles. There are also some glorious beaches on the Atlantic coast of Portugal. An underrated area for beaches is along the Lleyn Peninsula of north Wales, boundered by the Irish Sea, and including the mountains of Snowdonia. On warm summers days, this region can be lovely.

Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, definately the best in the world. Lahinch in Co. Clare is prob the best for surfing

I would say Wales and the Balearic's have been the best I have found I have travelled to quite a few places and have not found many to beat Wales and Majorca

The best beaches in Europe...well....I would have to say the beaches in Lindos,Rhodes are spectacular!

Also Achmelvich Bay near Lochinver in Scotland is great.

Scotland have you ever heard of the white beaches of Mora, there was a Hollywood film made there once with Kirk Douglas.
