Where could I meet single Turkish guys?

I wonder how many Turkish guys you've gone out with to judge that they are ALL what you're looking for, and all good in bed? I know some very dishonest, immature, selfish and irresponsible Turkish guys. If you think they would make a good catch, good luck to you!

The Turkish guys you will meet in resorts are certainly likely to be charming and confident, but that doesn't always translate into considerate.

There's no reason why a Turkish guy should be able to be a better partner for you than any other country. You say they like Western women- but the ones that prefer Western women over Turkish ones usually have an agenda. Either they are looking for a way out of Turkey, or they know that most Turkish girls don't have sex before marriage.

The way that you say 'they like western women' makes it sound like you have low self esteem..... do you really need that kind of attention? And why would it matter that they like Western women or not - if you're a great person, a guy from any country might want to date you.

I think it's very unfair to say that Turkish women are vile, and hate foreign women. Yes, some may act that way - but see it from their point of view...... Some of the guys from their towns and villages will go off to resorts and not come back, or come back married to a western girl. Perhaps a guy they knew since they were younger, and hoped they would marry. The way they see it - a Western woman has freedom, money and sex to tempt a man with, whilst they just have to hope that someone chooses them for their own qualities, or that their family make a suitable match for them.

It's not really jealousy - they don't want to be the same as a foreign girl - but their values are so different, and their lives are so different. Some of them don't want to see the Turkish way of life changed by the influence of westerners, and don't like the way Turkish men change when they work in resorts. It's their life and their beliefs - you have to respect it.

I know some lovely Turkish girls, and I have to say that many are extremely beautiful and well dressed. They have no need to envy Western women, because a lot of the time the Western women end up with the worst of the Turkish men.

If you really want to meet a Turkish man, you can find them on the internet or obviously in Turkey. If you just want one for sex, go ahead. But if you want a serious relationship, you won't get one by just picking a Turkish guy, you need to see the person first and the nationality second.

And if you really want a serious relationship with a decent Turkish guy - you'll need to learn a bit of respect for their culture (including their women folk). These women that you hate would be their sisters or their cousins.

Not forgetting too, that a lot of Turkish guys fool around with western women but actually marry Turkish women.

I am married to a Turkish man - but I did not set out to attract someone Turkish. He wasn't a resort worker (which is not to say that he's 'better', but better suited to me). What attracted me to my husband was his intelligence, his humour, his values and his manners - oh, and it did not hurt that he is good looking! I made it very plain from the start that I was not 'easy' and that I have old fashioned values, and this meant our relationship was based on friendship to start with. He's still my best friend, as well as a great husband.

However - if you judge a man by how sexy he is, you won't necessarily get the best longterm partner.

Go to the cities only, and be very careful. Many Turkish men consider western women to be a golden ticket. Turks are charming, chivalrous and persistent. If you are not interested you need to be firm. I met my boyfriend on the second day I was here and he is wonderful. To steer clear of the addicts I would go to places where professional, educated Turks go. A good way to know if someone is educated right away is if they speak English. This isn't the only indication, but any Turk with a full education can speak some degree of English. The university campuses have gathering places where many young people hang out. You will most likely find an independent thinker or weird guy here.

Go to a local resort you find lots of turkish guys in the bars,restuarants,hotels.
but be aware they have reps of having more than one girl and just look after yourself.
but i hope you do find someone, i found a lovely turkish lad in hisaronu in one of the bars been together 5 months now going back there this summer!
i hope your find one that is genuwine like mine, ( well thats what i think haha ) but just look after yourself and have fun even if it doesnt last too long! x

The university was the best advice for the kind of guy you're looking for. There won't be any losers trying to pick-up women for a one-night stand, nor the visa-chasing loners and you'll come across people you'll be able to have a good communication but who'll still be very much weird. Around campuses you'll find nice coffee shops with a very good social environment and most universities let visitors use libraries freely, so you'll be able to stop a handsome guy and ask him where to find the Turkish linguistics section.

If you want someone older, intellectual types will hang out in specific spots in Istanbul or Ankara, it'll be easy to spot them and strike a conversation with them (ask for a light or something). The Beyoglu/Cihangir districts in Istanbul are easy places for fishing out the weirdest people, or Kizilay, Tunali in Ankara. It's easier if you have a Turkish friend who'll show you around since the weird types in Turkey are usually shy and won't open up to a single girl who's checking them out.

On vacation they won't be hanging out in Bodrum or Antalya (though I guess there might be exceptions if their families have vacation homes there) but in smaller cities or they mostly stay in Istanbul or Ankara without venturing too far since they don't have the means nor the envy to stray too far.

And be aware that most Turkish guys live with their families until they get married. Ana kuzulari iste.

Its mainly the Turkish version of Myspace or facebook. Actually Turkish women don't hate western girls they are jealous because of the reason you said. I mean its like that everywhere though. My uncle is actually married to a British woman and we get along fine lol
