from my opinion it's london. even if it's rainy, i think it's my top destination, even if i never went there.
paris... well if u like artistical grafitti, disneyland, museums and expensive prices it's the place to go. i personally didn't think that much of it.
madrid is kinda cool, u can definitely go shopping there, i don't know bout the prices but what i saw in the store windows was gorgeous. btw it's very hot there. take some clothes that cover a lot of your skin, it feels like burning there.
the canary islands are by far the best place i've ever been. if you go there don't go to maspalomas, it's not worth it, and their water park sucks. spanish people do not speak english or french at all, but you can manage getting around.
bulgaria is cool. even if getting around is pretty hard because they don't speak too much english and the signs are usually in bulgarian, if u have a map it would be just fine and u can also learn their characters from city names. i recommend balcick (very beautiful), albena (very cheap and very clean and nice) and golden sands.
if u want to go somewhere special, go to romania, in brasov, moeciu or sibiu (this is the number 9 destination in the world top they say, i've only seen pictures). do not visit the capital, it's really not worth it (i live there).
for a really off-road experience go to georgia. i saw a show from there and i liked it a lot. even if it's a poor country, i think it's interesting.
i do not recommend italy (excepting toscany - it's really nice) or germany.
other places that i like: the netherlands, ireland, the rural part of france, croatia (cheap and looks like an exotic desination allthough it's in europe - try the beaches).
hope this helps.

for me, it'd be rome, florence, and venice. italy is full of beautiful artworks, architecture, and good food. its rich history and vibrant culture is captivating. plus, can't resist the lure of shopping...it's the home of prada, gucci, and u name it.

Heil bush!
romania, It seems exotic, plus that's where transylvania is, they have all types of castles and a some of their towns date back to the 16th century.

I want to go to Austria, because my daughter told me it is very pretty there. That's where she bought me my favorite necklace that I wear all the time and think about how much she means to me. I hope one day I can afford to visit Europe, instead of spending all my money sending my children there.

I wud definately go back to Prague if i can, even tho i've been there so many times already..LoL..good place to backpack & explore. If u check the link below, u'll know wot i mean. Also u might wanna head to the greek islands for sun & sea.Blue seas & white wash buildings..just something bout it ..its said they have the best sunsets too..LoL...U can also head to Paris ,France. The Louvre is something i woud wanna go again...for the arts & statues. Also must go in Paris is Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame,u can even visit Eurodisney ( for the kid in u ) LoL but shopping is wonderful there.Bargain designer goods at affordable prices. Then perhaps head to Amsterdam for their "famous coffee shops" LoL..There is so much to do and see but so far Prague is my personal favorite. Also bear in mind, flights can be sometimes cheaper than rails & flights save much more time.If u have time, google up the countries that interest u the most.Have fun & good Luck!

mareeclara
There is so much to see and there are heaps of places I missed out on and want to go to (but they are the more expensive places such as scandinavia, germany, austria, switzerland). The places I actually enjoyed were: prague, croatia and slovenia. They were cheap, had fantastic scenery and/or architecture. THe people were nice too.

I also found a place in France that was spectacular around the quercy area (spelling), there were amazing little old towns and fantastic scenery and places to visit eg Rocamadour, St cirq lapopie, autoire.

I did most of my travelling by myself and all of these places were fine for that.
