Sparta also know as Lacedaemon by the Spartans is located in the southern portion of the Peloponnese. In an area know in ancient times and maybe today as Laconia. Sparta is near the Eurotas River. You could consider Messina the area to the left of Laconia as Spartan territory becuase they invaded and took over Messina in the 670's B.C. |
