Ireland is an island made up of two distinct states, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Both states are members of the European Union and the Republic uses the € euro as it's currency while NI uses the British £ pound sterling. |
