 Voltage for USA?
Travelling to USA from UK. We have a two pin adapter, but will this take care of the voltage in USA....

Mr Italian NFL

Where is scotland at?

I am considering traveling to Scotland and I am just wanting to know firstly where in England is Scotland. Does most of the country have electricity. Are there roads and if so do they have cars. Could I rent a car from somewhere. Are there lockness monster sight seeing trips I can go on. Do Scottish speak english or do I need a translator. Can I use american dollars to buy things. Where is the nearest airport to Scotland. And my friend told me about the little haggis can you keep them as pets and can I take one back to the USA.

This is a joke... Come on people... No one (not even a Texan) is that ignorant...

At least I hope it's a joke... Please, dear God, let it be a joke...

Hopefully our education system hasn't failed you this badly.

Raymond Ricky
I would like to say on behalf of the USA that not all Americans are actually this ignorant, so please don't use this as ammunition against the country that I love >_>

texan, you need to type Scotland into google images and wikipedia.... please

I really hope this is a joke.

Scotland isn't in England. It's the country North of England. In other words, it's in the same part of England as what part of Texas Oklahoma is in.

Yes, electricity was invented over 100 years ago, and it has gotten to Scotland by now.

They even have roads and cars and car rental places.

I don't know about the monster, but I would imagine the area around loch ness has "touristed it up" just as much as Roswell has.

They speak English, but with a funny accent. Just like how people in Texas speak English, but with a funny accent.

No, you have to change your dollars into pounds.

Believe it or not, there are actually airports *in* Scotland. Try Edinburgh or Glasgow.

You can keep a haggis as a pet, just like you can keep a brisket as a pet. But it'll start to smell after a few days.

Folks he's posted this same question several times...so I'd say he's a troll, regardless of whether or not he's a Texan.

Scotland is part of Great Britian and is north of England. Ever heard of England, Scotland, and Wales?? With it being part of Great Britian, they speak English and use the pounds sterling as their currency. Considering they're part of the western world and a world superpower, they have everything you and I have. Think the midwest, with rolling hills, beautiful castels. Sean Connery and Ewan McGreggor are Scottish, go watch one of their movies. Haggis is a dish, not a pet.

And a word of advice, if you really decide you want to go out of the country, please, make sure you inform yourself and become knowledgeable about where you're visiting. You don't want to sound like the "typical ignorant American."

So much about Americans...

haha you're pretty funny....i actually laughed when i read this
no, its not in england, its a whole other country but nearby...yes of course they have electricity, they have cars, they have roads, they speak english, (with a scottish accent) they have airports like countries usually do
i dont know why out of all places you would go to a place you know nothing about....do some more research! like a lot more...

Scotland is the capital City of England, where the Queen lives. There are no proper roads, only small, narrow man made lanes. There is absolutely no electricity at all as we cannot afford it and wouldn't even know how to work it properly. We do not have cars either so renting one is out of the question. There are loads of loch ness monsters roaming all over the place. I am sure you will need a translator or phrase book to understand a word we are saying as it is a very difficult language to understand. Of course you can use your American dollar to buy things. The nearest airport is a place called Nirvana. Haggis are very rare and difficult to catch creatures as they can run, fly and also swim very fast. If you are lucky enough to catch one, you won't be disappointed as they taste fantastic, but you will not be able to take one back to the USA. Hope you have a great time!

Scotland is not IN England. Scotland is part of the island that is called Britain, it's the Northern section of it. You can fly there directly, they have airports.

I can't believe some of the things you're asking. You must be taking the piss! Yes, there's electricity in Scotland, quite a lot of it. Yes, there are roads, and cars. Yes, you can rent one, provided you have the necessary documentation. Yes, they speak English, but heavily accented. No, you can't use American dollars, you'll have to go to a bank and change your money into pounds Sterling, or before you leave your home pond, sorry, country, phone your bank, tell them you're going and ask them if you can use your bank card there and withdraw pounds Sterling from the ATMs there (they have ATMs in Scotland too, great, eh?) and the money be debited from your bank account in your home country. Haggis is stuff sheeps stomach, I doubt very much you'll want to bring one home with you as a pet, but whatever floats in your pond, er, whatever floats your boat .....

To be honest, I answered this question for my own amusement. I've never been to Scotland!
