The Lake District in Cumbria is one of the most beautiful place on the planet and bursting with places for long romantic walks. It doesn't get too crowded either. Maybe that's why people like Tom Cruise and the Beckhams, to name but a few, are regular visitors to the area. |

Gawd... the choice is endless
Paris - Eiffel tower, Champs Elysee,
Venice - with the beautiful piazzas and canals,
Vienna - home of the Waltz, most romantic of dances,
Rome - if you like to have an historic backdrop,
to name just a couple...
the fact is it isn't where you are that is important... it is the quality of the time you spend together that is important. |

I think Paris would be the obvious answer, but personally I would go to Vienna: it has music, chocolate, dozens of cafes, museums, and is absolutely gorgeous - and the Alps are nearby! |

In Italy--Amalfi is beautiful. Of course Venice and Florence are always wonderful. We went to a cozy little romantic restaurant in a little town called Orvieto. I also love Switzerland. Hiking in the Alps amidst waterfalls. Staying in a cozy cabin... |
