Tunisia or Egypt. I recommend the desert tour in Tunisia, where they put you on a camel, dressed in a bedouin garb. Pretty cool. |

I know you said Europe or North Africa, but if your're prepared to do a slightly longer flight you could try Goa, in India. The weather is absolutely gorgeous, fantastic scenery, beaches, loads to do, it's really cheap to eat/drink out there and you can get some really cheap packages (check teletext!). I've been there and it's amazing!!!
Hope that helps! |

Canary Islands (Lanzarote is nice) or Morocco.
It's true that Lanzarote can be windy but if you stay on the south coast (Puerto Del Carmen area) it's not windy.
Also, with Morocco the more northern cities can be cooler (but still warm), especially on the coast. Going inland (Marrakech area) it is going to be hot.
I've added some links for you. |

I know you said north Africa but why not try South Africa - Cape Town has so much to see and do, great experience. Really hot and the beaches are fantastic. |

Canaries can be fairly hot this time of year, but for guaranteed sunshine, try Egypt or Tunisia. |

Europe - Definitely the Canary Islands - Either Tenerife or Gran Canaria because Lanzarote and Feurte Ventura will be too windy at this time of year.
You will get a mild climate of about 20-25 degrees in the day, mostly sunny, and slightly chilly evenings of about 15-16.
Africa is your better bet though, probably Egypt. |

It's easily Portugal! I've been to many places in Europe (not Africa though) and Portugal was the cheapest. It is very affordable and beautiful at the same time as well. Another plus is that it is a safe place to visit. Look for places along the ocean and you can rent out a little place for dirt cheap. Check it out or ask a travel agent. |
