Mulhouse (French: Mulhouse, pronounced /myluz/; Alsatian: Milhüsa; German: Mülhausen) is a town and commune in eastern France. It is the largest town in Haut-Rhin, and the second largest in Alsace after Strasbourg. Its designated local development area consists of 16 communes, but its conurbation is substantially larger than that.
Administration
Mulhouse is the chief town of an arrondissement of the Haut-Rhin département, of which it is a sous-préfecture. |

It all depends what you're interested in.
I love Munich, Venice, Amsterdam and Edinburgh; I've yet to discover Prague, Bilbao and Barcelona. However, if you want a city that will keep your interest night after night, year after year, I think it would be hard to beat London. Nowhere else has such a diverse and vibrant cultural life, and it really does have something for everyone. |

Well that's easy - its in Europe. However - I think you meant to ask "what is the most interesting city in Europe." This is so hard to say. I loved London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome, and many others when I lived there. But the one think probably was the most interesting was Berlin because it's time as divided city under Soviet occupation until the "Berlin Wall" came down in 1989. Few - if any cities can claim the kind of division and occupation that characterized Berlin from 1945-1989. |

Having travelled a lot throughout my life I would say that Florence takes some beating but Prague runs a close second. If you are in the UK then York (although small) is fascinating; has bags of history, very picturesque and lots of good nightlife. |

I loved Naples, but it's better to go to southern Europe as part of a mixed group or as a couple. Florence was also nice, as was Venice.
I think you might really enjoy Prague, it's really lovely there. And cheap, especially if you ask the locals to recommend you a nice place (and avoid the really touristy eateries). |

Zagreb – Croatia could also be a possibility. |

Paris is beautiful. subway is very convenient - do not forget to bring a 2" x 1" photo - you can buy a week pass = it is much cheaper. Do not miss the 10 p.m. show for the Effie Tower - it is so romantic,
watch for pit pocket - they use razor blade and cut your backpack or purses
Cann is soso - you can take a little tram to tour for an hour
Nice and Leon is no big deal
there is a travel agency in Europe - I join the tour for $ 48 /day including hotel, tour guide and tour bus. tip for the driver and tour guide is $5 the tour gide speak Chinese , English and Dutch
www.amttravel.com
www.GOEUGO.COM
or you can call The Netherlands phone number 31 10 213 02 08
it is very cheap and the hotel is very nice - it included morning breakfast buffet
do not forget to bring the water bottle w/ you - you cannot drink the tap water
summer is very hot in Paris - but it is so much to see - do not forget to pick up a free map in the hotel lobby - if you want to buy
expensive stuff, eg LV purses. - you need to bring your passport to the store and get the tax refund in the airport |

My Favourite is Brussels, Belgium ! Vienna would have been first but its gone way downhill since 1995...
I've lived in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Tilburg Holland, and Frankfurt Germany. Every city has its charms but it all depends on what you're looking for.
Want a party? Try Amsterdam or Edinburgh, Scotland. Dublin is still awesome but its getting too expensive there.
Looking for Art? Brussels, Paris, or Prague
History? I love London, Rome ( somewhat seedy), and Athens.
Peace and quiet? Any in Germany...the Manditory quiet after 10 is great for that. |

What do you call interesting?
Barcelona is a good pick, has it all: culture, fun, great food, beaches and good climate.
London is fun in many ways and also has a lot of culture, fun, and even some good food (though much less easy to find than in Barcelona, and much less affordable). The climate is hardly as good though, not to mention the absence of beaches. Also in those time of terrorist attacks London and its airports are more dangerous than Barcelona.
Florence is very interesting, it is like a huge museum and it is so full of beauty that some people are said to display traumatic shock symptoms during or after a visit. And then from Florence and with a car you can visit Tuscany which is very beautiful.
Other ideas: Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, Brussels, Prague, Vienna, Berlin. |
