i was born in Keşan - Edirne
i lived in Uzunköprü - Edirne untill the age of eleven...
Then i came to a boarding school in İstanbul and i am here since...
if you are asking where my father is from, then i say Erdek -Balıkesir....

damn...i am confused again...:))

and if we are to mention the roots and anchestors, it gets even more complicated; my mother's roots are from Seloniki and Silistre, my father's roots are from Rhodes and Macedonia (FYROM)

My fathers family came from FYROM 70 years ago- it wasn't "Former" at that time of course so we call it Yugoslavia and settled in Bursa.

My mothers family is from İstanbul as far as they go back.

I grew up in Bursa and went to Ankara while 18 for University.

And here I am, living in Kuwait mostly but spent summers in Bursa and Çeşme.

I was born in Limassol Cyprus (Leymosun in Turkish, Lemesos in Greek). My wife was born in Limassol too. We lived there till 1974.
My father was born in Limassol, my mother was born in Limassol. My mother's parents were from Limassol but her grandmom was from Paphos (Baf). My father's parents were from Limassol too. His granddad came from Malya, a mountain village famous for its vinyards and wine.
Wow! All from Limassol (Greeks say: Lemeshanos).
If I have to go back for about 400 years, my ancestors came from Anatolia, probably Alevi Turks/Turkmens, who were exiled by the Ottoman Sultan for not being sunni and obedient to him. :))))))

p.s. Our daughter was born in Nicosia (Lefkoşa), and we now live 150m. from the building in which she was born.
