Where to go in Europe?? |
My wife, and baby, are going to dubai early next year and have the option to go anywhere in Europe for three days as part of the travel package. She would love to go to Paris but is concerned about not speaking french and possibly being on her own there... were can she go for a good dose of culture without being concerned about learning another language or crime? |

If your question was asking for a continental place in Europe, I think Paris would be fun. I went when I didn't speak the language, and it was still quite the trip.
Also, you will be able to find other people traveling who do speak English. If she stays in a hostel, it will increase the chance of her finding more friendly people who speak English and she may even find travel buddies if she is afraid of being alone. |

If the problems is language, I would suggest London. Also, there's a lot to see in three days. I personally love London, Amsterdam (shouldn't have language problems here), Rome and Barcelona. |

London
Edinburgh
Barcelona (most speak English)
Amsterdam (nearly everyone speaks English)
Stockholm (as per Amsterdam)
Main problem with Paris is that most people there can speak reasonable English but refuse to do so as a point of principle ! |

i suggest Amsterdam, really nice,
everyone speaks English, and you can see it in 3 days.
Paris is really simple to visit and i don't think you need anything else than a dictionary, but in 3 days you can taste so little, it's a city which need at least a week |

I'm from Greece and I would recommend Athens. A lovely destination and a town where all speak English too.
Really friendly for tourists and with many monuments to see.
In my opinion, a very nice choice!
Think about it and let me knw if you need further details. |
