I loved the train rides through Germany and other European countries. It is peaceful, you can get off wherever you want and get back on anytime (with some restriction...I think 14 days for round trip tickets), and you do get to see some scenery between stops. Of course, get off the train for a day now and then, see what's around, and get a room for the night, or just get back on the train that's still moving and keep going.
One word of warning....many trains, especially those through the small towns don't run all night, so you might have to take a room for the night. |

If you don't want romantic places, don't think for a second about going to Paris, Venice or Rome, too lovey. Try Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan or Barcelona. Less romantic, yet amazing places.

Wanna go to a super nice place. Go to the Peter Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands. Oh man this is so cool. Water so clear you can see at the bottom. Trees, birds and sweet friendly people abounds. It's the only thing on the island. Only thing!! Talk about tranquility.
