Which European country is the most over-crowded?

Show all answers

NutstersChick
right now the UK's getting crowded.
not over-crowded, yet but approaching boiling point.
another EU country joins in January,
ask me again then?

London is running out of properties geared 2ward families, lots of small properties but lacking family sized homes.
so over-crowded homes, exist now.
not exactly an answer 2 ur question but relevant nonetheless, don't u think?

Italy would b my next guess, being an island; they're also suffering over-crowding in some areas and lack of a meaningful economy/interest in others.

It's Monaco with the population of35,253 per 1.49 kilometer square area. It's population density per kilometer square is 23,660 - greater than any other country in Europe and the rest of the world.

It's Belgium (Ignoring Monaco!). England is also pretty crowded (though not the UK because it includes lots of empty space in Scotland and to a lesser extent Wales) - but I believe UK is still behind Netherlands.

When you think of (over)crowding it's better to think in terms of regions rather than countries. For instance, Southern England is very overcrowded while the North is sparsely populated.

The most densely populated regions are:

South East England
most of Benelux
The Ruhr region (Germany)
Greater Paris
most of northern Italy

Number O
Southern England is reaching bursting point. Although, for density of people per square mile, Gibraltar is the most overcrowded country in the world.

Well I have to say Britain. They try to kid us it's not, but believe me it is. You cant even walk in the area I live, there are so many people.I live in the north of Greater Manchchester area. It literally looks like ants rushing around.I am not exagerating.
