the island my whole family is from skyros! its a small coummunity and its retained most of his history ( some of the older people even wear the traditional greek garbs ) but its so beautiful and charming! Its the place I want to go to grow old and die. |

Buy? Own? Why?
I wouldn't buy or own any island any such thing. Islands are for everyone to enjoy their beauty. Ancient Greeks lived and made history on their islands and nobody owned them.
If I won national Greek lottery I'd spend my money or part of it on making people realize its wrong to own its wrong to buy. It's what we got from the Americans cos it's all they know.
It's a shame to be absurdly rich and wealthy when half the world is absurdly poor and miserable, did you ever think of that? |

Mykonos is the most expensive island and very beautiful, it is like your American state of Hawaii! I would buy land on Mykonos, a little beach front property, where I can soak up the sun and drink ice tea with lemon. Yes, sun, blue sea and quiet serenity. Life would be good in that dream! |
