Just from experience - we went to Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini - it was the most magical experience on all four islands. Each one had similar yet different things to offer. Magical sunsets, awesome laid-back people, yummy food, great shopping, stunning architecture, cheap transport around the islands, exceptionally prompt and cheap ferries to each island, wonderful hospitality, beautiful sunny days. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We went in May and found the weather to be perfect - not cold, not too hot and plenty of breeze to cool you off. Plus it was not quite tourist season so definitely not too busy, which means easier to get places to stay. Shopping? Your choices are limited only by the size of your bank account - go for it. |

I would say Rhodes. I have been to the others and are rather boring.. I found that Crete was the most boring.. Even Athens is snot that interesting but I did find it interesting to take a bus(if you dare) and go to the interiior of the country for an experience you would never forget. |

Santorini is definitely a must do if you are going to Greece. Very romantic and spectacular. It's unique because of the Caldera. Every other Greek postcard is a picture of Santorini
Mykonos is a great party place ibiza style with a Greek twist. Can spend a couple of rocking days there
We loved Lesvos which is quieter with a really laid back atmosphere. Not very touristy .You can absorb the Greek life and culture much more in a place like this and it lingers on in your mind forever |
