Which city is more glorious??? Athens or Paris???

Both have a lot going for them

I love Paris more but that's just my personal preference

I guess it depends what you are looking for.Paris never did much for me,i don't understand the craze around it and is insanely expensive.Athens on the other hand isn't a nice city(in my opinion) no structure,almost no parks,no green.Both have great museums and places of historical significance to visit,both cuisines(Greek and french) are known for the fantastic food.If I would choose I guess I would choose Athens for one reason only(and not the one you mention) because I think Greeks are friendlier than French,make an effort to communicate with you(and French often don't,if you don't speak french well,good luck to you) and there is no one better in Europe than Greeks at partying and having a great time(and at the end of the day,isn't that what you are looking for when you go on holidays,to have a great time?).But if it's glory you are after,I guess you would have to go with Paris,since they are snobbish enough to make everything sound and look fancy,lol!

I'm french maried to a greek from thessaloniki........ I think that Paris is more glorious for many reasons too long to explain: architecture, litterature, revolutions, philosophers.....

Hmm.... both cities are glorious, in their own way. Of course being Greek, I will have to choose Athens. It is not the most beautiful city in the world, but its history, its culture, its people, make up for everything that it lacks. Also, the Greek people are kind and helpful to tourists. In Paris I found the opposite to be true.

Define glorious first. Secondly, attaching any adjective to a city is purely subjective. And on top you ask which is "more" glorious. It is like asking who was more insane, Rasputin or Ivan the terrible.

They are both glorious for all the different reasons. If you want to see the glory in Athens you must look beyond the hassle and bustle and focus on the glorious parts

Glorious? hmmmm I'd have to say Athens. Paris is nice but I wouldn't describe it as glorious.

Athens, because it is at least 15 centuries older than Paris

Glorious, not sure. I have been in both. Athen is more historical and architectural, Paris is romantic.
If you are taking your other half, go to Paris...If you taking family, go to athen.....
