Which city should I drop? Berlin, Prag, Budapest or Veronna? |
I'm planning my family hols for this summer. We are driving a large loop clockwise through Europe, but I've just found out a friend In Germany wants us to stay longer with her than I had originally planed, so I have to drop visiting one of these cities: Berlin, Prag, Budapest or Veronna. We were going to stay 2 days in each. Each of these are gorgeous but I must drop 1. I need advice please, and reason for choice. In Veronna we were going to go to the Opera on that massive colliseum. Help! |

Veronna or Berlin. Budapest is like visiting a time warped France in the early 20th century. My favorite of the above. |

I would say drop Berlin as you are already spending time in Germany with your friend, that way you still get to visit all 4 countries. Plus, assuming you are coming from the UK, then Berlin is the easiest / cheapest to get to on an additional weekend away..... |

I'd drop Budapest or Verona.
Personally, I'd drop both of them and spend 2 extra days in Berlin. 2 days are really not enough to do justice to Berlin - you really need a lot of time to appreciate its many layers of history and really get a sense of the former East and West and the legacies of Nazism, Communism, and the Cold War. |

You can't miss out on the Opera in Verona but be warned about the temperatures and late finish.
The Opera starts after 9.0 p.m. so it is past Midnight when it finishes.
If you are sitting on the stone steps - take, buy or hire at least one cushion (one behind your back is comfy, too) - the steps area is actually cooler then the expensive seats right down in the pit where there is little air flow. Binoculars are very useful to be able to see facial expressions.
Go and see Juliet's balcony and burial place.
If it is very hot, pop into the air-conditioned shops behind the Coliseum to cool down from time to time!
There is a tourist information office just across the square from the Coliseum where you can pick up maps and info.
Lovely outdoor cafes (with sparrows which perch on your chair looking for a handout) or in the back streets, you can find tiny air-conditioned bars which will do you freshly-squeezed orange juice. |

Berlin and Prague are well-worth visiting, so it falls between which to drop Budapest or Verona, for me it would be Budapest, as aside from the opera, Verona has lovely coffee shops, Roman Ruins galore, marvellous churches and shopping boutiques. Budapest is another fine city in its own right, so perhaps keep it on the itinerary for your next trip to Europe. Enjoy. |

Veronna. Berlin and Prague are amazing and Budapest is brilliant. Its really tricky but Veronna is my least favourite |

It depends on your interests.
I found all cities I was in, interesting and beautiful
Check out the Cities On the Web. and combine with your interests and then drop the ciy with your least interests |

So hard to say to drop Budapest, but that's what I'd do. There is just SO MUCH to do in Berlin- even though you are already spending time in Germany. |

Drop Budapest.
Berlin, Prague and Verona are all exciting and beautiful city.
I particularly like Verona, because of its elegance and beauty. |

Prag and Veronna are not cities.
I would visit Prague and Verona instead. |
