Which countries border with greece?

Greece is bordered by Albania, the FORMER Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria to the north, and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east and south of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west.

And just for clarification, Macedonia is part of Greece which means Greece is not surrounded by it. Indeed, Thessaloniki is Macedonia.

Turkey, of course, Bulgaria, Albania and a country that would like to be called Macedonia. But it is really a part of the former Yugoslavia and is made up of Serbs, Albanians and Gypsies. Macedonia is in Greece and the capital is Thessaloniki. The University of Macedonia is in Thessaloniki and the Prime Minister of Greece, Konstantinos Karamanlis is descended from a town called Serres, which is in Macedonia.

I'm sure that the purpose of your question is not actually to be informed about which countries border with Greece.

To the previous answerers : the internationally recognized name of our neighbour country is Former Yugoslavian Republic Of Macedonia (FYROM) and not Macedonia.
Macedonia is a state in northern Greece.

I agree with Katerina that the nature of the question is strange, since it is very easy to find a map on the internet, even easier than asking a question on here. So, I suppose the whole purpose is to start again the conflict about the name of a particular state on the northern border. I have to inform our friends who come from that particular country (FYROM) that their questions and answers on this site only prove their provocative disposition and make their true intentions known to the world. And I don't get why they don't accept us using the name FYROM, since they are not recognised otherwise as a state, because of course Macedonia is a region in Greece as much as Attica or the Peloponnese.
