Best European coutnry... no competition; Finland!
Beautiful country, not too hot (ever), awesome music reputation, extremely friendly people; and enough vodka to last til the end of enternity.... what else do you need?

ljtimoney
The Netherlands. !!

We are small so you can get to Germany, Belgium France and Luxembourg really easily. have lovely beaches, great cities, Beautiful countryside.
Prices are reasonable in comparison with some countries in Europe well gas/petrol is quite high.
People are really friendly you will never get bored here there is so much to do and it is aso accessable everythign you can need is in a easonable travelling distance..

I love Italy. But I'm biased. My family is there and I love the food.

Garota88
Switzerland is pricey but has a great quality of life. Plus, it's very centrally located for travel. I would love to live there.

boz803
The European countries with the highest standard of living and education are the Scandinavian countries.

Obviously, the further to the east and south you look, the less expensive the cost of living becomes (until the dreaded Euro wreaks havoc on the economies of countries like Hungary and Lithuania and prices the entire native populations out of their metropolitan cities.

For more info on this, ask a German how happy they are to pay 5 Euros for a what used to be a 5 Deutchmark cup of coffee.

dairie_queen
eventhough i haven't been to europe. i would say italy or france. But i think it would be best to learn their language before you decide to move to an area in Europe. Best of luck to ya if you plan to live in europe.

Scotland! Smoke-Free and Proud!

nickipettis
I would pick Scotland for the temperature, Paris for Art and Museums, Belgium for the chocolates AND the chocolate waffles ( YUM !), Italy or Greece for the food, and anywhere on the Mediterranean for the beauty. it all depends on what is important to you.
