Which greek island should i visit? |
I am planning on visiting Greece for 5 days on my trip through Europe with my boyfriend. Which island should i go to? I am looking mostly for good beaches, with a few good bars. I need it to be easily accessable from Athens. Also, I would like it to not be a very expensive island. Any suggestions? I will be there the first week of September |

The Greek Islands are the best in the world! They are so beautiful! I have been to about 20 . From Athens you can see Argos,Hydra,Pyros, in one day. Santorini is about a 12 hour ferry ride or shorter on a Flying Dolphin. It is a MUST see, High on top of a Volcano.The dig at Acrotriri is there thought to be the Lost City of Atlantis. Great Beaches,The Red Beach and The Black Beach. Rhodes is also great! And of course Myconnos with the Windmills and beautiful beaches! Crete, is a very large island and takes much longer to visit. On the other side of the country there is Zakinthos, It is beautiful. Corfu is also unique! It has Italian influence. There are so many to choose from! Find a Fodor'sBlue book and read up, you can't go wrong!

I say while your on the coast, to visit the island of Corfu near Saranda, Albania. It is beautiful, the restaurants are extravagant and affortable. It beautiful and romantic. Think about it. You definetely won't regret it. |

For the most underated island with less populated crystal blue beaches, you want to go to Kefalonia/Cephallonia or Zakynthos.

Lesvos is a nice island. Greeks are ashamed and call it mytillni but it's still called Lesvos, and it's quite nice. Lots of wonderful cafe's and comfortable shoe stores. |
