no contest really, when things go bad we use the blitz spirit or the dunkirk spirit and we pull together to ensure each others safety and well being.
now lets see what happened when hurricane katrina hit new orleans, they tore each other apart there was robbing rape and looting, i dread to think what new york would of been like if it was hit like coventry was instead of just a small hit on the wtc.
it's just not cricket ! |

It depends what you want.
England is better, in my opinion, in music, and culture whereas the US is way better in entertainment like theme parks, things to do, and I prefer US food much better.
I feel much better walking around in the US than in England where there is a great deal of racism (sorry but it's the truth)
On the other hand, the UK is literature rich and the countryside is very beautiful, calm and refreshing.
There is more violence and the crime rate in the US is staggering compared to the UK where not even the local cop has a side arm.
BBC is way better than CNN where since it is commercial-free and whose headlines cover other countries that CNN usually doesn't and in depth.
The UK is safer!
I believe Brits are more educated in general - referring to manners, but less tolerant. The US is much more liberal and boast more freedom in all areas.
Education wise, I much prefer the rigid UK Secondary School system than the rather laid back High School. However in higher education the US has more money to reinvest in their institutions.
Some people, like TIME Magazine say Harvard is better than Cambridge University... That's a tough one. I believe they are the same or Cambridge more prestigious. I mean 800+ years old where Sir Isaac Newton was a student!!!
I love more British sports, i.e. Association Football than American Football and Rugby than Baseball.
Finally, I prefer the UK since it is in Europe and Europe is fun, fun, fun. |

Well, Europe is far more cultural and interesting.
Ameica is plain uncultured, I could never live there some people are just rude and vulger, but thats just my opinion.
I don't know about England though, I would say England is more or less the same culturally as America, except England is far more interesting. |

Me personally, I prefer Europe - I could not get my head around the American mindset I encountered in the North-East, and I resented being patronised. |
