Better to take Liras although you can exchange one to another very easily and in most parts of touristic places shops accept also Euros. |

you know we use the currency of YTL but "euro" is more valuable than the turkish lira,so if you bring your euros it will be more profitable for you,by the way you won't have any problems with finding a change office, you can find in every corner! |

Sterling is highy regarded in Turkey, and you often get a bargain when buying stuff in clothes shops for example and you pay in pounds. Be sure to know what the rate is that day to make sure you are not getting a bad deal. I would also advise taking som Turkish Lira for cabs, Dolmus and food though.
Good luck. You will love Turkey, im sure. |

I always take about £50 in Lira and the rest in English Money
you can spend your English money in most shops and l always ask how much in English pounds especially if l am buying clothes etc, they love them in Turkey.
most restaurants will give you a good deal to exchange your English pounds to lire and all your hotels will change your money for you.
one word of warning the prices in dalesman airport are outrageous for drinks and snacks l bought 2 beers and a coke last year and it cost me £13 gosh you can have a good night out in turkey for that money. have a good trip |

When we went to Turkey it was advised to take UK pounds, they loved them. Even better if it is in cash instead of traveller cheques.
Do take some Lira to use at the airport and on the way to the hotel etc. |

Lira is the official money and they do have euros, but they are mostly used in the tourist areas. Lira would be your best choice though. :-) |

Euros or US dollars - they can be exchanged for New Turkish Liras or are accepted directly at the current exchange rate. Online travel advisories can give you more information. |

Since Turkey is not in Europe, and culturally in the Middle East, euros has nothing to do there.. |

You can see exchange offices every street in Turkey so take euros and a little lira at the beginning of the trip. You'll change it if you need. |
