If you want a lively resort I would recommend you go to either Marmaris or Gumbet! I have been going to Turkey for the last 18 years and could never get sick of the place.
I think out of all the resorts I have been to i would have to say that Marmaris is the best!
If it's the beach that you are looking for then i would suggest that you go to Icmeler. it is a really nice resort that is'nt too lively and you can get into the neighbouring resort of marmaris easy enough with the taxi boat costing around £1 pp.
I love |marmaris and cant wait to go back in July.
Quad Biking, jeep safari, numerous watersports, trips to pammukale, ephusus, mud baths to name just a few.
You will have to go to barstreet, thats wicked. and also try barterring in the bazaars, that is a great experience. there are literraly thousands of bars and restaurants to choose from and they are dirt cheap! Have a look in the Airtours Aspro brochure for the Zevkim hotel In Marmaris. i would highly reccomend that you stay there!
There is so much to do the list is endless but i dont think it would all fit on here.

This one, if you meant a holiday resort:

http://www.lykiaworld.com/Cultures/en-US/Default.aspx

http://www.buzzytravel.com/lykiaworld.htm

"Lykia World is surrounded by pine forests with well kept gardens and a unique landscape and sits on a total area of 370.000 sqm on the skirts of Babadağları.There are two superb beaches running along the turquoise Aegean Sea - the 650 m. long Kıdrak Beach (sand only) and the 750 m. long beach (sand and pebbles). The synthesis of modern architecture and Seljuk, Ottoman, Greek and Roman architectures has integrated comfort with fantastic elements and this original style has been worked up in harmony with nature. Lykia World is at a distance of 71 km. to Dalaman 15 km. to Fethiye and 3 km. to the “Ölüdeniz”. The sun, the sea, sports and recreation are all unison here in this heavenly site. The establishment is composed of 2 parts; namely, Lykia Village (holiday village of 1st class) and Lykia Residence (4* club-hotel)."

only been to marmaris, it was cool

I agree with İpek, Lykia World is a fantastic place.
Also Antalya/Belek is full of awesome resort hotels, like Adam&Eve, Club Voyage Belek Select, Gloria Golf Resort, Rixos etc.
Search their names at the net, You wil see why.

Jumpy
Antalya is pretty popular.

My favourite is Hisaronu/Olu Deniz. It is a perfect combination of a beach resort set against a mountain and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Only an hour from Dalaman airport it is an ideal place from which to explore the historical sites as there are a variety of tour companies all offering a variety of well priced day trips. The shopping and nightlife are good but the resort is strung out over a long mountain road so there is no huge build up of shops or hotels. Because it is set on a mountain there is a limit to the height of buildings so the scenery has not been destroyed by high rise hotels. The weather is fabulous and the people are the friendliest I have ever come across. If you want to know more join the Hisaronu online forum.

If you do choose to holiday here I can recommend the quiz at the Fez Bar and the food at Abrahkebabra. There is a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.

Antalya is a city on the Mediterranean coast of southwestern Turkey. It is the capital city of Antalya Province.

The city of Antalya corresponds to the lands of ancient Pamphylia to the east and Lycia to the west. Antalya has a hot climate.

A bit of history:

, king of Pergamon, founded the city of Attalia (present day Antalya) to base his powerful naval fleet. Later Antalya became part of the Roman Republic in 133 BC when King Attalos III of Pergamum willed his kingdom to Rome at his death and the city grew and prospered in the Ancient Roman period. Christianity started to spread in the region after 2nd century. Antalya was visited by Paul of Tarsus, as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 14:25-26), (wherein Antalya is referred to as Attalia). St. Paul and St. Barnabas went to Antalya and sailed from there to Antioch after preaching in Pisidia and Pamphylia. The city later became a naval base for the Christian Crusades against the Muslims in the Levant and in Cyprus.

It was a major city in the Byzantine Empire. At the time of the ascension of John II Comnenus (1118) it was an isolated outpost against the Turks, accessible only by sea.[3]. The following year, with the aid of his commander-in-chief John Axuch, John II drove the Turks from the land routes to Antalya and recconected the city with the rest of the empire.

Places to visit in the city include sites with traces of Lycian,Pamphylian, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman architecture and cultures.

Kaleiçi, with its narrow cobbled streets of historic Turkish and Greek houses is the old center of Antalya, now mainly hotels, gift shops, and bars. New hotels such as the Sheraton are along the coast above the Konyaalti and Lara beaches.

The tourism boom has brought migrant labour to the city, fueled the growth of a large construction industry and provided transportation and other large-scale infrastructure which has led to Antalya becoming the hub of commerce in this part of Turkey.
