If you want it to be warm I would suggest Cyprus, but if you want the prettiest you would have to go to Santorini, or Symi

I won't tell you any of the famous islands of greece for your holidays....many more that Myconos rgodes etc....that you can really enjoy yourself and not many tourists know about....

me and my daughters like to travel and our favorite is Crete!!!!!!

I don't know if this is a Greek Island but half of it is actually Greek so I'd say Cyprus (Southern) is the best! I lived there and it is amazing, the people are so friendly, its much better than the Turkish half (Northern).

that would be Santorini
It has been said that the sunsets in Santorini are the best in the world. From the Caldera breathtaking views of the volcano & neighbouring islands. From the east, miles of dark sandy or pebbled beaches. Everywhere one sees small domed churches and remnants of days gone by

The nicest one is also the most popular one - Santorini. They say Hydra is also very nice, no motor vehicles just donkey carriages.

My suggestions for you would be Tinos, Kefalonia, or Hydra. In the off-season the islands are deserted enough that you'll have plenty of time to finish your book.

If it is off-season and for 2 months, you need an island with some standard population, that won't be too deserted. I would suggest Syros or Paros. Sifnos would be my first choice for a calm and cheerful place, but I don't know if you will even find a restaurant open in winter time.
