=)

Romanian is spoken in Romania, maybe you mean "romano", Roman dialect?
Anyway, all speak Italian, almost all Roman native do speak Roman, I'd say 30% English (good or awful), mainly older people may know (remember) Latin, not necause they're *so* old :) but because nowadays Latin is taught in secondary school only, and just some (Liceo).

Rome is in Italy: people generally speak italian there.
Less people than you would wish speak english: in Hotels is ok, they will be able to address you in english too, but in the city do not expect too much. Younger people SHOULD be able speak english, but mostly quite bad.
Latin: just the catholich church keeps using latin :-o
Romanian is spoken in ROMANIA...

Brian, if Romanian isn't a language, what do they speak in Romania? Durrrrrrrrr....

Italian is the main language of Rome, which is in Italy. Since the abandonment of the Latin Mass, less Catholic priests speak Latin, but it is still widely read and spoken in Vatican City, which is an independent country located entirely within Rome.
