Lindos on Rhodes would be my favourite, closely followed by Cefalonia, both great places to go and IF you get fed up of the beach, there arre plenty things to see and do on both islands.

keffalonia/cafalonia. there are a few different spellings lol. its a greek island. its so beautiful and the sea is so blue and warm. if you want a touristy holiday, go to lakky/lappy (cant quite remeber the name). if you want quiet(ish) relaxing holiday, go to Ithica.

Lindos on the Island of Rhodes.that is the place to be,we were there 3 weeks ago it was over 100f and 25f at night it is a great place for couples we have been twice and I would go back on the next flight out,(YOU WILL LOVE IT) and its------------ hot hot hot

kefalonia is a lovely chill out place or crete or if you want hot hot hot even though its not greece how about cyprus.

If you're looking to chill out, then go to Kefalonia. You will find lovely beaches and great food; also it is not too crowded in September.

Athens is polluted, very big and very busy, and easy to get lost in as everywhere looks the same!
It sounds like you want an island holiday, which all the Greek islands are great for.
Also, on the mainland there is a great town called Tolon with just the right amount of shops and a great beach. They also have the most amazing ice cream there!

From my experience, the beaches in greece tend to be kind of rocky, but Santorini is lovely, and the beach towns in Northern Greece are also really nice. You might want to spend a day or two in Athens, the city is lovely (NOT as polluted and gross as everyone says!!!! I was just there!), the historical sights are amazing. Another great option is to take a greek island cruise. You can see historical sights, relax, and party!

kefalonia! its nice :D or zante. get a thomson villa in skala in kefalonia in the mountains with an infnity pool over looking the twon and beach and the see over to zante. we had villa arethusa. :D

i went to athen a couple of weeks ago im not sure were abouts though.
it was sunny for 2 weeks no britah rain. the beach was a a short ride onn the train.
