I am very disappointed. My island didn't suggested by anyone above. Never mind you are going to lose a marvelous week in a paradisial island like Samos. Of course Rhodes, it combines everything but Samos has the unique traditional tourist village (doryssa bay), that awarded as the best in Europe in Madrid. There are so many things to see, and needless to say that you ll see a sea of 4 colours! One more than Rodos! Then you ll visit the Eupalinion Tunnel(1150m), the cave of Pythagoras, and the Rainfalls of Potami!

Thank tyou so much guys for the publicity you do to my island.Of course Rhodes, it combines everything.It is world Heritage cities, there are so many things to see, and needless to say that you ll see a sea of 3 colours.Then you ll visit the medieval city which is one in greece, and the only one medieval alive with so many people living there...

any where like cyprus it is all beautiful and nearlly every where you go is with in reach of somewhere i.e bit of night life pubs bars etc

Laganas on Zante (Zakynthos)...take the boat round the island on one day...takes all day and it's great. Can visit Kephalonia....next island where Captain Corellis Mandolin was filmed. etc etc.

Just do a search for your star hotel on the interweb.
Location, i personally would choose Paphos in Cyprus.
great for relaxing during the day, or even going sight seeing. Great place to go with Historical facts in abundance on the Island.
The nightlife in Paphos is good also. Situated more or less 1 minute walk from the harbour, you really do have 'everything' you'll need for a quality holiday.
You would struggle to fit everything into a 2 week holiday, so i would say you won't be bored there at all.

Lindos village on island of Rhodes , 4/5 all inclusive just outside village and on beach. The village is as beautiful as any I have seen in the world , set beneath a temple which is being restored which you can go up to on a donkey / mule. At night you can eat at rooftop restaurants where the fish is so fresh and the bars are civilised and it is just so unspoilt and 18-30s are shot on sight. Take the ferry to Symi for a day trip and see another island to behold. Have Fun X

skiathos, its a fab resort a little bit expensive but good night life, and no larger louts,

Rhodes is great, has a nightlife and enough hotels that if you want to be near the action you can be without being in the thick of it. And yes on the beach. Depends on what you want to spend. August is high season and 4/5* star won't be cheap. Look at the west side of the island near Lindos, very beautiful white beaches and has several exclusive hotels- The Hilton in Rhodes is huge. But Lindos could a better alternative. I've given you some links to Rhodes, Lindos and Kos. Lindos has a greek chain which could not find, but the other alternative, Grecohotel looks wonderful. Have a wonderful time and take lots of sunblock(its very hot) and misquito cream(the little devils).
