Who do Turks feel the strongest closeness to: Eastern Turks, Europeans, or Arabs? |
Turkic peoples (eg. Kazakh, Uyghur, maybe even Mongolian) are related by blood and language. This is genetic connection.
Europeans seem to have the strongest cultural and political influence. This cultural connection.
Arabs gave 99% of Turks their religion, which forever dominates a person's identity and outlook if they consider themselves a Muslim (even if they don't follow the rules). This is spiritual connection.
Other than "all of them" or "none, I'm Turkish and that's it", which group do you personaly and most Turks feel most connected to? |
