Hello I am a Spanish, Madagascan Jew from Izmir please do not post these idiotic questions or comments again or I may have to consult this issue with my best pal, the Satan. (*)
Seriously, you are obsessed with Jews, evidently you are a fanatic Christian who needs therapy. Try not reading the bible 24/7 lol |

Well, first of all I don't know what your comments have to do with your questions. Second, your #2 and #3 points are incorrect.
* Per your #2 - legend has it that Jesus' mother, Mary, died near Efes (Ephesus) not Izmir and actually most Christians don't hold it as a pilgrimage. I am a strong Christian and I never heard where her house was until I visited Turkey and happened to stumble on it when I visited Ephesus.
*Per your #3 - The Bible states in Revelation 2:9 that there was a synagogue of Satan, not that Izmir (or modern day Smyrna) was Satan's ground. Smyrna was one of seven churches/cities which had a letter written to it and most of them had some reference to the evil which was in their city. Smyrna/Izmir was actually unique in that it was one of the "good" cities. The letter to the church at Smyrna actually had positive things to say to those living in Smyrna and these promises still are applicable to people today.
To answer your question on the CHP - Though I am not Turkish, I did live in Izmir for a length of time and I can see how it had a large CHP backing. Izmir is a very modern city with modern thinkers. I can see how some of them would equate the CHP party to modern/western ideas and therefore believe in this party. I'm not sure if this is right but just an observation made by an outsider. |

our war of independence was mainly against greece..and izmir was the city where they were defeated at last..not only izmir there are some other cities where greece defeated....in those cities chp also have a high rate of vote...so to sum up i can say that it is not sth related to education..it is about historical roots of those cities...for example in north turkey chp cant have votes just because in those cities we didnt fight against greece... |

Izmir is known as city of workers and employees and CHP is the leftist party, they are social-democrats, before being secular.
Yet, AKP won 9 chair from Izmir.
One must be a hateful-provocateur or a total-idiot to think that results of elections are something to do with Christians or Greeks or any other people live in Izmir.
Yes, the Satan's throne mentioned in Bible is in Izmir, but also
- Three of the “Seven Churches” which were mentioned in Bible are in Izmir.
- The first church dedicated to Virgin Mary was built at in Izmir.
- Virgin Mary’s House where she spent her last days is in Izmir.
- St. John wrote the Bible at Ephesus and died there.
