Why Russians don't like the Black people?

Russians are racists in general, that's why. They don't like those who don't look like them. For instance, they don't like people from Georgia, Azerbaijan, etc, they call them Hachiki. In my university in Russia students wouldn't hang out with black people. And if it was a choice of blacks, they wouldn't go to Russian schools. The thing is that the education, especially medical is very cheap in Russia compared to other countries.
But you can still go to Moscow and St.Pete as a tourist. You will just need to stay within the places for tourists: Arbat, Hermitage, etc.

I think that It is probably wrong to say that the Russians either like or dislike black people. There is a very small number of black people in Russia and they rarely make it in the TV news, and moreover news from Africa rarely make it on the TV. My point here is that it is pretty hard for one to like or dislike a group of people that one does not really come across or hear anything about.

On the other hand a black person in Russia certainly stands out of the crowd and also perhaps the black people are looked at with certain suspicion because they clearly come from a different culture, but I think that such things are pretty natural (similarly a white person will stand out of the crowd and will be looked at with suspicion in an African country).

If you are talking about the "skinheads", it is actually a different story. It does not really have anything to do with the blacks or any other group for that matter.

Thank you for generalising a whole race of people.
In the same way, one could generalise blacks, Indians, Hispanics, anyone.
Most Russians don't hate black people, the ones I know anyway. I'm Russian, and I don't hate black people.

Because we've seen what tolerance of the Black people (amongst others) has done to our white brethren in North America and Western Europe, and the havoc that the blacks wreak upon white South Africans on a daily basis, and would like to avoid such a grim fate or, at the very least, voice our disapproval of the current situation in the aforementioned regions. There never was oppression of African people in Russia. And nowdays there are a black students in our Universities. How do you think< they wouldn't come, if they thouht, that there is racism in Russia, would they?
